Receipt review and itemisation
Receipt extraction saves retyping, but a photographed or PDF receipt can still be incomplete, unclear or misread. Billum presents extracted details for review so the saved expense reflects what the evidence supports.

Product details reviewed .
Upload supported receipt evidence instead of manually copying every visible field.
Choose Bill or Expense, then check merchant, dates, totals, descriptions and extracted line items before saving. Detected invoices suggest Bill and start unpaid.
Keep relevant items shared, personal, excluded or assigned as the evidence and household decision require.
Use a readable image or PDF that shows the relevant merchant, date and total.
Correct missing, duplicated or misread values rather than saving them because they were suggested.
Choose scope, category, payer and line treatment based on what was actually purchased.
Synthetic example
A synthetic grocery receipt contains shared food, a personal item and a discount. The user checks the extracted total, keeps the shared items in the household and treats the personal item separately.
The expense explains both the source total and why only part of it belongs in the shared calculation.
Receipt scanning must be enabled for the organization, and the member must accept its AI disclosure. A monthly allowance also applies; an unlimited allowance does not enable a disabled feature.
The extracted result is presented for review. The user should compare it with the source and correct unsupported values before saving.
No. Itemisation is useful when the evidence is clear or items need different treatment. A reliable total is better than invented detail.
