Worked example: one person pays the household bills
Three roommates share SEK 15,000 rent, SEK 450 internet and SEK 750 electricity. The total is SEK 16,200.
An equal split is SEK 5,400 each. If Noor paid the full amount, the other two roommates each transfer SEK 5,400 to Noor.
If one room has a separately agreed rent premium, put that difference into custom percentages instead of improvising a different amount every month.
Rules worth agreeing before the first bill
Name the included costs
List rent, utilities, internet and household supplies. Anything not listed remains personal until the group agrees otherwise.
Set a recording deadline
Ask payers to add a cost when it is paid, not weeks later. Close and settle the month on a predictable date.
Do a move-out checkpoint
Record the final utility period, deposits and any agreed damage costs before a member leaves the household record.
